Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a commonly acquired disorder that is appeared by depigmentation. The disease is linked up with the risks of autoimmune disorder or other abnormalities.
Symptoms of vitiligo:
The most basic symptom of vitiligo includes white spots and patches on skin, mostly on those areas that are exposed to sun rays. The vitiligo patches can be small & large as well.Many patients experienced itching and skin redness on affected area of skin.

Although the vitiligo patches can be appeared on any body part, but the most common body parts are lips, face, ear, hands, knees, and feet. The depigmentation of skin may also be experienced on the mucous membrane of skin, which lies inside of the mouth. Further loss of pigmentary cells also affects retina of eyes.
Clinical Features:
Vitiligo affects both genders of all races at any age. With an average frequency vitiligo affects 1 to 2 percent of the population. Its means 40 to 50 million people in world wide, right now are suffering from the disease. Diagnose of vitiligo is easily possible once milky look white patches are appear on skin. The patches can be appeared by many other diseases, along with sun exposure.
Classification of Vitiligo:Localized:
Focal Vitiligo: In this form vitiligo spots or patches are localized to one single area of body.
Segmental Vitiligo: This type is characterized by vitiligo macules in a unilateral or symmetrical distribution. It is also said that the most stable form of vitiligo is segmental vitiligo.
Mucosal: In this case of Vitiligo, only the mucous membrane is affected.
Generalized:
Generalized vitiligo types are the most common type of vitiligo patches in a generalized widespread distribution. The generalized type of vitiligo is consisting on:
Acrofascial: Only Face, feet, hands are affected by this disease, and not the others parts of body.
Vulgaris: vulgaris
Mixed: Together form of acrofascial, and segmental and many other types of Vitiligo, is known as mixed Vitiligo.
Complete or Universal: Naturally, a person has been found in the disease.
Causes of Vitiligo:
Vitiligo can be caused from different factors like from autoimmunity or other diseases such as Halo nevi, diabetes or others .It is said that due to loss of melanin cells in skin appearances of white patches is possible on skin. Our body contains melanocytes cells, which produces melanin cells. Melanin cells are based on yellow, black or brown substances that determines the skin color, further they provided skin protection from sun rays. These pigment cells if stops to produce in skin, skin show white patches.
Will the depigmentation patches Distribute on all body?
Allocation of white vitiligo lesions on body is depends on:
• Patient’s condition
• In early stage, the lesion size is small, and gradually it becomes larger.
• It can be limited to some specific parts, or can spreads on all body parts.
